Transparency International has released its latest rankings of corruption around the world and, as ever, there is little to cheer about in the Middle East, with five of the world’s ten most corrupt countries coming from the region. On a scale from 0 (highly corrupt) to 100 (very clean), 90% of Middle Eastern countries scored less than 50 points, which Transparency International deems a failing score. Only the UAE, Israel and Qatar managed to stay above that threshold. In general, key anti-corruption indexes have shown that corruption levels remain high in many countries across the region, when compared with global averages. Strengthening business integrity is a key lever to restoring investor confidence and leveling the playing field for doing business in the MENA region.

Within this context, the 3rd Anti-Corruption Compliance EMEA Summit 2017 will be held on November 15th-16th, 2017 in Dubai. This summit will gather government officials and industry leaders to discuss the anti-corruption environment and continuing challenges in the EMEA region, as well as effective compliance practices. The summit provides an excellent opportunity to better understand anti-corruption compliance in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Summit Highlights:

  • More than150 delegates from leading international companies discussing the latest anti-corruption compliance strategies and best practices

  • Government officials and corporate compliance officers analyzing the anti-corruption environment, and related challenges, in the Middle East and around the world

  • Firsthand experiences in business operations compliance, and learn from recent case studies
