TRACE Statement on the Australian Bushfire Crisis

The current bushfire crisis in Australia is unprecedented and the long-term damage is difficult to estimate. TRACE offers its heartfelt condolences to those affected by this tragedy and shares the desire--demonstrated by so many individuals and organizations worldwide--to support ongoing fire and wildlife relief efforts.

To this end, TRACE has contributed US$10,000 to two Australian charities: NSW Rural Fire Service and WIRES. These highly respected organizations were recommended by our local compliance colleagues as effective and greatly in need of additional support.

We also offer our support to our many member companies in Australia and the hundreds of TRACE Certified entities we’ve worked with there in recent years. We are extending all due diligence renewals by 60 days and waiving any associated fees for entities based in Australia.

With relief efforts ongoing, we will continue to explore how our organization can best contribute to the international response to this crisis and to rebuilding communities across New South Wales.

We encourage the global compliance community to donate to this important cause.
